Tru Schilling is the 19-year-old daughter of Tiffany and Jeremy Schilling of Valmeyer. She is a 2022 graduate of Valmeyer High School. This fall she will be a Sophomore at Maryville University, majoring in biology on the Pre-Med track, with a minor in sign language. Tru hopes to become a pediatric surgeon. She is currently employed as a Customer Service Specialist at Rural King. Tru enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, working in her garden, fishing, shopping, and watching scary movies. She is a member of Maryville’s Knots of Love, where they make tie blankets to donate to various hospitals and people in need. She has also been involved in collecting and donating clothes for those in need and helping to run food drives.

Amelia Wierschem is the 18-year-old daughter of Bobbie Jo and Mary Wierschem of Waterloo. She is a 2022 graduate of Belleville East High School. This fall she will be a Sophomore at SWIC where she is working to get her Associates with hopes to transfer to SIUE to pursue an early education teaching degree. Amelia cannot wait to assist our younger generation on their path through life! She is currently employed as a Customer Service Specialist at Rural King. Amelia enjoys assisting her grandpa on the farm, reading, going for walks in the woods, fishing, deer and turkey hunting when in season, a passion for photography, driving the combine and loader tractor, and spending time in any classroom. She has taken classes in wedding, graduation, family portrait, headshots, and scenery photos with the dream of creating her own photography business. Chelsea Nehls is the 19-year-old daughter of Fred and Melissa Nehls of Columbia. She is a 2022 graduate of Belleville Township High School West. This fall she will be a Senior at SIUE pursuing a Bachelors of Accounting, graduating in Spring 2024. Upon graduation, she plans to further pursue her Masters degree. She attended SWIC during high school to complete an Associates in Arts. She is currently employed as an Intern at Kerber, Eck, & Braeckel. Emma Wittenauer is the 18-year-old daughter of Jenny and Michael WIttenauer of Waterloo. She is a 2023 graduate of Waterloo High School. This fall she will be a Freshman at Webster University majoring in Vocal Performance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is currently employed at Scooter’s Coffee. Emma enjoys acting, singing, painting, writing poetry, and playing the trombone and guitar. She is a member of National Honor Society, Renaissance, and National Speech and Debate Association. She is a former Drum Major and Section Leader of the Waterloo Marching Bulldogs, Section Leader of the Waterloo Choir, and Captain of the Waterloo Drama Club and Speech Team. She is currently employed as a CarSide To-Go Runner at Applebee’s Grill and Bar. Erica enjoys hiking, shopping, trying new Sonic drink combinations, dressing like the Queen Dolly herself, and taking spontaneous day trips to explore new places. Jada Jean Voelker is the 18-year-old daughter of Don and Jean Voelker of Waterloo. She is a 2023 graduate of Waterloo High School. This fall she will be a Freshman at Maryville University of Saint Louis where she will be studying for 6.5 years in their Freshman Direct Entry Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. She is currently employed over the summer at her sister’s small business Spare Thyme Farms. Jada enjoys playing softball for school and travel ball, helping softball summer camps, hunting, traveling, weightlifting, participating in FFA events, and spending time with family and friends. She is involved in Waterloo FFA Chapter where she served as the 2022-2023 Chapter Reporter, Waterloo High School Varsity Softball player since 2020 and is the 2023 Captain, National Honor Society since 2021, Orange Crush Pep Club since 2019, and Yearbook since 2019. She volunteers at the local VFW for the lent fish fry, donating dog necessities to Helping Strays, toy and food driver for the House of Neighborly Services, and much more.
